Useful Resources
British Museum - Ancient India Virtual Exhibit (Buddhism and Hinduism) - I recommend this website because it explains the story of the Buddha and about the Buddhist Monument. This is a secondary source because none of the authors saw the events that transpired. However, the artifacts on display are primary sources because they are from the time that this civilization existed.
Mr. Donn - Ancient History - I recommend this website because it includes Ancient India's early caste system and Hinduism/Buddhism. This site is a secondary source because neither the author nor the information included by him ever saw Ancient India.
BBC - Ancient India News - I recommend this website because it shows you news about what is happening in Ancient India. This is a secondary source because none of the reporters on the site, nor the authors of the site have been to Ancient India when it was not so ancient.
PBS - The Story of India - I recommend this website because it includes a timeline and a video of a man in India. This is yet another secondary source because neither the site nor its authors ever set foot in, or took place I the events that occurred in Ancient India.
History for Kids - I recommend this website because you can learn more about the caste systems and different times in Ancient India. You can also learn about their government and their philosophies. This is a secondary source because
Ancient Civilizations for Kids - I recommend this website because you can learn about invasions that happened in India and Ancient India's area.
Ancient History Encyclopedia - I recommend this website because you can learn about the two cities in Ancient India and the different great empires.
